I exist in an empty expanse,
I exist in a room out of time,
I exist in a promise of velvet nothingness.
I changed because losing myself was easier than losing you.

In my world of absolute nihility, you are a phantom in a mirage;
I stretch my hand, aiming for a target that burnt up years ago.
I ran through fire, I dashed through the abyss,
Through it all, I am yet to find who I am.

I lost touch with the resolve that I had,
And now I exist in an empty expanse;
Envying the weeks when workloads were heavy, not hearts;
Missing the days when fingers were splintered, not hearts.
