While digging through our archives, we found this interview with MGCI’s hot dog man on a dreary day back in September.

Jamie the Hot Dog Man on a rainy day in September.

Tell us a little about yourself.

My name is Jamie, from Bulgaria. Came here 20 years ago. There’s not much to say.

What do you like to do, in your spare time?

Do you think I like doing this? Spare time…I fly remote controlled aircraft. I go fishing, boating.

Do you do business anywhere else?

Only here.

If you were an MGCI student, what would you put on your hot dog?

Onions, mustard, barbecue sauce.

What’s your favourite day of the week?

Every day is good for business. Every day which is not raining. (It was raining that day. All the drearier.)

If there’s something you could say to the students of MGCI, what would it be?

I try to give students the best services for lowest prices. Keep the area clean. Don’t throw garbage. I’m too old to bend over and clean for them.

Where do you get your hot dogs? What’s in them?

I get my hot dogs from Sowlowas.

Anything else?

I hate the rain, screws up my business. As soon as it rains, customers disappear.

Thanks so much for your time!

Wait, kid. Have a hot dog. On the house.
