The Marc Garneau girls’ field hockey team is on its way to the playoffs. After three relatively successful games they had rank number one. They beat North Toronto and Humberside by one point margins, and tied with Jarvis after a long and frustrating game. Today, they faced off against their arch rivals, Malvern. Although Marc Garneau had defeated Malvern in the final game of 2010, today they lost in the last three minutes, after losing one of their players to injury. Their next game is against Riverdale next week. Wish them luck!

Claire Hamilton is a senior writer at The Reckoner. When Claire Hamilton was little she was ‘that weird kid who read all the books.’ Though she no longer has quite as much time for reading, she still makes time for being weird. Now in Grade 12, Claire is planning to spread her wings and fly away; hopefully to university and a moderately successful life. When Claire is not engaged in school or school related activities she enjoys watching obscure television, knitting scarves that will never be finished, and making playlists that are both for no one and for everyone.
