Alpine Skiing
The Men’s Giant Slalom finals were held at the Yongpyong Alpine Centre. Marcel Hirscher, Austrian athlete, easily dominated the field the second run, winning by almost 1.27 seconds. Having already won men’s giant slalom and men’s alpine combined skiing, Hirscher is the first man to win both skiing events in the same Winter games. The medalists in this event are as follows:

Biathlon
The Men’s 15km Mass Start Biathlon was held at the Alpensia Biathlon Centre. With a spectacular shooting and skiing performance, Martin Fourcade secured a gold, becoming France’s most successful athlete of all time. The medalists of this event are as follows:

Silver: Simon Schempp (Germany)
Bronze: Emil Hegle Svendsen (Norway)

Cross Country Skiing
The Men’s 4x 10 km Cross Country Skiing Relay was held at the Alpensia Cross Country Centre. In the very close and thrilling final lap, the lead changed several times as the Norwegian and OAR teams competed for gold. The medalist for this event are as follows:
Gold: Norway
Silver: OAR
Bronze: France

The men’s slopestyle and aerial events were held at Phoenix Park. The medals for each event respectively are as follows:

Bronze: Alex Beaulieu-Marchand (Canada)
Aerial
Gold: Oleksandr Abramenko (Ukraine)

Speedskating
The ladies’ 500m was held today at the Gangneung Oval. The victor, Nao Kodaira, broke the Olympic record previously held by Sang-Hwa Lee. The medalists are:

Silver: Sang-Hwa Lee
Bronze: Karolina Erbanova

Curling
The Men’s and Women’s Curling Round Robin sessions were continued at the Gangneung Curling Centre. The Canadian women’s curling team won against Switzerland while the Canadian men’s curling team lost to Switzerland. The event will continue until 23 February 2018.
